Job Description

General Responsibilities

  • Manage the Church’s budgeting and forecasting activities
    • Lead the annual budget process
    • Develop budgetary policies and guidelines to meet organizational goals
    • Lead reforecast activities
    • Monitor and provide analysis of actual results against budget
  • Manage the monthly preparation of financial statements and related analytics
    • Consolidated financial reports for Elevation Church and subsidiaries
    • Budget vs Actual reports for all budget owners
  • Assist in the collection of key metrics for ministry leaders and management
    • Monitor metrics to identify trends and provide decision support
    • Perform complex analysis and financial modeling
  • Assist with monthly and year-end close and annual audit preparation

Job Must-Have

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Bachelor’s degree in Finance with 5+ years of directly related experience
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Love working on a team as much as you love working with the numbers

Job Nice-To-Have

  • Non-profit finance experience
  • Sage Intacct experience
  • CPA, CPA candidate or Master’s degree in Business Administration
