Job Description

 A passionate and dynamic kids’ ministry overseer of the 5th-6th grade program. This position creates and prepares all aspects of Sunday and midweek services while carrying out the vision and culture for the Bridge. This person must be able to teach, facilitate worship (via video content) and games, recruit and lead a team of volunteers, engage with the kids and parents and have a genuine desire to cultivate an environment where kids will grow in their relationship with Jesus. The Bridge coordinator will meet with the network team lead regularly for inspiration, support, and health of the ministry. This position is a multi-faceted, part-time opportunity with an intention to raise up kids and leaders to grow in their relationship with Jesus. The position will not only be fulfilled on Sunday but administrative during the week as well, including at least one office day and Wednesday midweek service. Estimated workload – 40% Creative, 40% Administration, 20% Dreaming, and Vision Casting.

  •  Strong ability to lead volunteers and encourage them to carry out the vision and heart of the Bridge and Harvest Kids.
  •  Cultivate and maintain relationships with leaders, kids, and parents involved in the ministry.
  •  Manage all aspects of Sunday service in Bridge including hosting, leading, teaching, and creating a fun, relevant   Jesus-focused environment.
  •  Maintain Bridge volunteer roster with Volunteer   Coordinator. Have weekly communication with leaders in preparation for upcoming lessons each week. 
  •  Identify giftings in volunteers and train them to participate as leaders in areas of service including worship and teaching.
  •  Create digital presentations in Pro presenter for each service using curriculum and guides.
  •  Clean and stock Bridge room with all needed materials for games, activities, cleaning, and office items.
  •  Meet with network team lead regularly for creative input, support, and vision casting.
  •  Participate as a member of the HK team at special events including Harvest Fest, Christmas, etc.
  •  Collaborate with Riverside Bridge leader and network team lead to plan, organize, lead and oversee Bridge camp and other special events.
  •  Physical requirements, with or without accommodations, include long periods of sitting, repetitive hand motions due to keyboard typing,   answering phones, handle materials, looking at the computer screen for long periods of time.
  • Duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change at any time.
  •   Employment offer is contingent upon successful completion of:  
  • Verification of reference and referral sources and statements.
  •  A criminal background investigation, which involves fingerprinting. (A felony or misdemeanor conviction may disqualify the applicant from employment with Harvest Christian Fellowship).
  •  Completion of all required forms and documents including, but not limited to, an application form and ministry questionnaire.
  •  A signed and dated employee manual recognizing and accepting all conditions and requirements delineated and that all employees of Harvest Christian Fellowship serve in an “At-Will” capacity meaning that all employees of HCF are employed for an indefinite period and that employment may be terminated by either the employee or the employer at any time, with or without notice and with or without cause. 
  • A pre-employment physical exam and/or a drug/alcohol test may also be required
