World Harvest Church is seeking an experienced Director of Children’s Ministry. The ideal candidate is expected to oversee the comprehensive and first-rate ministry to the children and youth of the various ministry outreaches of World Harvest Church. The ideal candidate must be an effective communicator, sound teacher and biblical preacher, demonstrating the love, character and power of God. This position is a full-time, 40 plus hour a week position within the Local Church Division of World Harvest Church.

  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Possess a Bachelor degree in Ministry and/or Elementary Education
  • Have a minimum of three years experience as a Children’s Minister
  • Possess a strong ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, for the purpose of public interaction
  • Have a valid Ohio drivers license with a good driving record and be insurable
  • Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Maintain a courteous and Christ-like attitude
  • Agree to adhere to the standards of moral conduct and mission, vision, and values of World Harvest Church.
The Director of Children’s Ministry will:
  • Oversee the management and improvement of all ministry programs within the nursery, preschool, and Jr. Church.
  • Serve as an advocate, role model, spiritual mentor, and encourager of children and their families.
  • Oversee budgets, purchases, and other fiscal duties for the nursery, preschool and Jr. Church
  • Lead the pastoral care of children and their families while working collaboratively with other staff ministers and leaders.
  • Coordinate children’s church, its functions, events and all related activities including worship services.
  • Partner with children’s parents in the planning, implementation, leading, teaching and supervision of children’s activities.
  • Obtain or create cutting-edge Children’s Ministry curriculum for the overall development of the youth.
  • Conduct planning sessions for children’s ministry programs and family events.
  • Oversee major events for nursery, preschool, and Jr. Church.
  • Interview and process applications for children’s ministry volunteer candidates.
  • Train and disciple all children’s ministry volunteers and lay workers.
  • Direct and teach Jr. Church Sunday school programs and all children’s ministry staff projects.
  • Develop staff spiritually through regular Bible studies, prayer and devotions.
  • Prepare administrative reports and maintain accurate records for each department.
