Job Description
The Content Developer will craft versatile content to show people Jesus, inspire us to love our neighbors, and foster creative experiences where people can’t help but grow.

God brings people from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences here, but He does it because we all have one thing in common: we won’t stop until every person on this earth knows what you know, the love of Jesus.

Our Content Development Team is part of the Creative Media Group working alongside filmmakers, graphic designers, producers, project managers, and other creatives to develop creative content and experiences. We partner with our ministry teams by creating spiritual growth content for our church environments and online. We’re looking for an experienced thinker, writer, and editor who can partner with others to build content-rich experiences from the ground up. If you think this might be you, check yourself against these bullets.

Who you are:

    • An experienced and versatile writer who is adept at tailoring each message to the strategic outcome, the medium, and the audience
    • A proficient editor who can see the gold in someone else’s writing and bring it to the surface
    • Adaptable to tight and fluctuating deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
    • Able to zoom in on details while keeping the big-picture strategy in mind
    • A person who thrives in a team environment and has strong interpersonal skills

What you’ll do:

    • Develop content-driven spiritual-growth experiences from the ground floor
    • Edit your work and other's work—a lot
    • Collaborate with a diverse group of talented individuals and teams to accomplish mutual goals
    • Work on several different projects within a day (and sometimes within an hour)
    • Use your personal spiritual depth and relational instinct for questioning and correcting content that might be off-target for its intended objectives or audience

For bonus points:

    • You have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or three to five years of writing, teaching, and/or pastoring experience
    • You enjoy word nerd conversations about em dashes, Oxford commas, and the misuse of ubiquitous words
    • You geek out about a Galaxy Far, Far Away, a Comic Universe, or some theologian from the 1700’s.

Work Perks:
When you join the Life.Church team, our prayer is that your family will be closer, your leadership will be sharper, your finances will be stronger, your faith will be deeper, and your heart will be larger. And while the biggest plus to working at Life.Church is doing work that makes an eternal difference, you'll find that's not the only benefit we offer:

Flexible paid time off
Industry-leading medical, dental, and vision coverage
Generous employer 401K contribution match
Childcare benefits
Casual dress code
Professional development funds
