Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the daily workflow of the HR department and assist in management of HR functions
  • Assist the Hiring Coordinator by being a part of the hiring process, recruiting, & aiding where needed
  • Develop comprehensive job analysis when needed to promote strategic recruiting & retention plans to meet hiring needs
  • Create and manage salary benchmarking for positions
  • Manage & implement HRIS systems and ensure HR staff are fully trained and proficient in using the system
  • Manage Workers Compensation claims & annual audit
  • Manage the annual staff review process
  • Reviews 30-day & 90-day staff reviews & exit interviews; brings concerns or trends to the HR Director
  • Assist HR Director in development, distribution, and management of HR training programs
  • Assist HR Director and partner with managers in staff development, connecting employees with internal/external development opportunities and own the tracking process
  • Assist in administering & executing sensitive personnel matters regarding reasonable accommodations, employee improvement plans, conflict resolutions, investigations, & terminations
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with laws & regulations, & recommended best practices
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, & new technologies in human resources, talent management, & employment law
  • Own & manage special projects in accordance with Human Resources department & goals

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 3 years HR experience, with at least 2 years of HR management experience
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, & conflict resolution skills
  • A passion for seeing team members in the right seat & developing them
  • Ability to prioritize tasks & delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, & confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws & regulations
  • Ability to analyze trends & proactively improve systems & processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS & talent management systems
  • A BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in human resources or related field preferred
