Job Description
The Learning Team Instructional Developer will develop and write Life.Church staff E-Learning content, lead Life.Church staff new hire onboarding processes for Learning Team, and create and maintain staff training content and opportunities.

You’ve got skills. You’re motivated. You’ve got a passion to see people come to know Christ. All you’ve been missing is a place to put all of it together. Life.Church could be that place.

The Learning Team exists to help staff members as they step into their staff roles and develop their God-given strengths, talents, and areas of growth. We’re looking for an Instructional Developer to develop, design, and update the overall learning experience for training courses (E-learnings) and events. Are you a tech-savvy educational enthusiast ready to take on the challenge and wear multiple hats, playing the role of writer, editor, innovator, researcher, and customer support wizard? If so, then keep reading!

Who you are:

    • A motivated and energetic team player called to serve and invest in others
    • A proactive activator who is attentive to all the details on a smorgasbord of projects
    • A resilient, organized servant-leader who has a track record of success
    • An eager learner who loves innovating to find the right solution for training needs

What you'll do:

    • Lead the participant experience of Life.Church’s new staff orientation, Inside Out — from writing promotional content, serving as the event point-person for new hires, coordinating participants’ travel needs, organizing all pre-event communication and resources, and more
    • Write and edit compelling training and development content that reflects the mission, values, and purpose of our church
    • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify the target audience’s training needs, select the appropriate training delivery method, and collaborate to shape their training content and experience
    • Provide quality oversight and maintain consistency of internal cultural voice for training opportunity content, such as live training content, Microlearning content, online class content, audiocast content, etc
    • Team up with the Learning Team Graphic Designer and Technology Specialist to create and revamp both new and established training materials and resources

Bonus points if you:

    • Have previous work experience writing engaging learning content and working with learning management systems (LMS)
    • Have been bread to work a pun into any situation, even when it’s not really kneaded
    • Favor simplicity, even when it takes more work to achieve it
    • Are excited to work in a fun, fast-paced environment where everyone takes the mission seriously, but no one takes themselves too seriously

Work Perks:
When you join the Life.Church team, our prayer is that your family will be closer, your leadership will be sharper, your finances will be stronger, your faith will be deeper, and your heart will be larger. And while the biggest perk to working at Life.Church is doing work that makes an eternal difference, you'll find that's not the only benefit we offer:

Flexible paid time off
Industry-leading medical, dental, and vision coverage
Generous employer 401K contribution match
Childcare benefits
Casual dress code
Professional development funds
