Job Description

The Online Church Engagement Coordinator (OCEC) ensures the effective and intentional engagement of all visitors to the online church ministry of Harvest (Harvest at Home). The OCEC acts as a coordinator to build, manage, and maintain the chat hosting team across multiple chat platforms. The OCEC also coordinates and runs the Harvest at Home Online Groups in conjunction with the Harvest Groups Director. The OCEC is an out-of-the-box, self-starting person that is constantly looking for new ways to provide engagement with the viewers and participants of the Harvest at Home Online Church Experience. The OCEC works closely with the Marketing Coordinator to provide engagement opportunities to the online church audience through things like e-books, online courses, daily devotions, etc. The OCEC plays a pivotal role in ensuring the Harvest brand meets quality standards set within the organization. He/She serves with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes Harvest’s culture, values, and mission.  A role that will provide the marketing foundation and growth path within the Marketing department.

  • Schedule, build, and grow the Online Church Chat Hosting Team. 
  • Coordinate with volunteer leadership and provide oversight to Harvest Online Groups. 
  • Ensure the growth   (qualitative and quantitative) of both Online Groups and Chat Hosting teams. 
  • Provide measurable growth/engagement metrics for viewers at Harvest at Home.  
  • Work towards quarterly engagement goals to promote the growth of marketing channels.
  • Work with the Marketing Media Coordinator on the content alignment that aids in engagement.
  • Works on Sunday to be the “point” person for Harvest at Home on the marketing team. 
  • Schedules out all the services and works with the Marketing team for proper promotion of online church.
  • Represent Harvest in a professional and positive manner to external sources.
  • Physical requirements, with or without accommodation, include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, handling materials, keyboard typing,   hand motion, foot motion, looking at a computer screen, and telephone communication.
