Job Title:  Online Pastor (Sr. Director of Online Ministry)

Reports To: Executive Pastor

FLSA:  Exempt; Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY 

Provide oversight and direction to the Online Ministries.  Capture, develop and retain members as they grow in their Christian walk.  Develop the ministry leaders and volunteers to fulfill the mission of the online church.  Ensure the vision, spiritual goals, and objectives of the ministry are incorporated in all activities. Develop and lead the online church in planning, conducting, and evaluating a comprehensive program designed for the spiritual life and growth of the congregation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate/oversee Growth Track classes as the vehicle for becoming a member of the church, learning the foundational behaviors and principles for becoming and remaining a fully devoted follower of Christ. Initiate new/additional classes as needed.

  • Manage Retention ministries including Welcome, Connect Point, New Members/Growth Track, and The Firm.

  • Support the church in designing effective strategies, small groups and ministries to reach, enlist and fully integrate the online congregants and their families into the life of the church fellowship.

  • Design creative strategies of ministry for the Online Ministry, leading to the improvement of existing programs or to the inauguration of new programs.

  • Recruit and train qualified leaders and volunteers to meet the needs of the online church.

  • Create a process to engage online, disabled, and other members who maybe unable to attend church services; develop connection points, online classes, newsletters, letter campaigns, and other engagement activities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s Degree Preferred

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Advanced level of expertise in MS Office products, and MAC Operating Systems.

  • Candidate must live in the Chicagoland Area - Required
