Pastor of Hispanic Missions

Overall Responsibilities:  

To aid the LP Missions Pastor by coordinating serving opportunities for members, facilitating relationships and resources with local ministries as the liaison to Lake Pointe Espanol.  Also, will serve as the primary liaison to LP Mission Partners in Mexico

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison with LPE – ensuring communication of mission serving opportunities, events, and projects.  Engage LPE LGs for mission mobilization and build serving teams.
  • Provide translation assistance and follow up to Spanish speaking people served by LP Missions ministries.
  • Support Latin American Partner Coordinator by acting as liaison LP Missions Mexico partners. 
    • Training, coordination, and communication for Transform Mexico (Child Sponsorship) with Partners in Mexico
    • Take lead on all paperwork and logistics for Mexico mission trips
    • Lead trips to Mexico as needed
    • Recruit and train mission trip leaders and participants of Mexico trips.
    • Plan, coordinate and lead Christmas in Mexico efforts annually
    • Review projects submitted by our Mexico partners for partnership support to be approved by the Missions Pastor.
  • Manage LP Dental Ministry
    • Support cleaning of dental equipment after clinics and trips
    • Coordinate with Dentists serving as lay leaders in equipment care and inventory management
    • Recruit dental teams for mission trips
    • Lead in organizing local dental clinics
  • Manage LP Eyeglass Ministry
    • Coordinator donation efforts for eyeglasses
    • Manage eyeglass ministry equipment and inventory
    • Recruit eyeglass teams for Mission Trips
  • Participate as part of the Lake Pointe en Espanol (LPE) leadership team representing missions.
  • In acting as staff liaison to LPE, build relationships with ministry leaders, regularly meet to explore serving opportunities, provide leadership coaching, assist ministry leader in growth of ministry, engage LPE members to serve, track stories and create metrics to measure engagement and ministry success
  • Create reports on program outcomes and impact

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven leadership and teaching experience
