Job Description
The Purchasing Buyer focuses on thought leadership, team member development, negotiation, contract review and modifications, vendor oversight, risk assessments, and data analysis.

As technology changes rapidly, the Purchasing Team is focused on discovering the most effective and efficient way to source products, materials, and services that support ministry teams. We are passionate about what it means to be behind the scenes, leveraging technology to support ministry teams on the frontline to help people engage with God, the Bible, and each other. The Purchasing Team works with vendors to maximize cost and time savings on behalf of ministry teams. Through collaboration and providing excellent customer care, we minimize team members' time spent on sourcing, negotiating, and reviewing contracts so they may focus on the role to which they are called. The Purchasing Buyer will collaborate with internal teams and external business partners. This role leads the discovery and negotiation process and provides oversight of existing systems and processes, data analysis, and risk assessments to support organizational excellence and customer care.

What you'll do:

    • Lead the discovery, documentation, and negotiation process
    • Contribute towards system and process review and lead change management for our team and some ministry teams
    • Lead system and vendor risk assessments
    • Cast vision for Customer Care team clarifying expectations and unifying purpose across multiple modes of communication
    • Lead the way modeling a heart to serve teams and individual team members
