Redemption Kids Elementary Department Head   job description Position: Redemption Kids Elementary Department Head Report To: Children’s Director Classifications: Regular full-time, Salaried, Exempt Status Hours: 40 hours per week objective: Effectively manage time, resources, and personnel necessary to develop age appropriate curriculum for 1st-5th grade elementary age children in the Redemption Kids Live experience and the iKids online experience.. requirements: Submitted and committed to the vision of Redemption. Good organizational and communication skills; attention to details; able to handle information with confidentiality. Ability to relate well with pastoral staff, ministry leaders, co-workers, volunteers, visitors, and members. Great attitude and willing to be flexible in the midst of change responsibilities: Adhere to policies and procedures as outlined in the REDEMPTION employee handbook; Take shared responsibility for accomplishing the vision of REDEMPTION and the REDEMPTION KIDS Department Strive to display professionalism and moral conduct becoming of a church environment. Lead a team of staff and volunteers to develop curriculum that is age appropriate, relatable and impactful for elementary age children in 1st-5th grade to be used in person during the Redemption Kids Live experience as well as in the iKids online experience that is in line with the Redemption Church Mission and Redemption Kids Vision, and versatile enough to be used at all Redemption Campuses. Lead and oversee the Check-In and New Families (VIP) experience for Redemption Kids Live services as well as the VIP experience for iKids. This includes overseeing a team of volunteers who will assist families with the check-in process using our check-in software and abiding by all child-safety measures put in place by leadership. This will also include creating a memorable first-time experience for each new family who chooses to visit Redemption Kids. You will create and oversee an onboarding pipeline that will guarantee every family feels safe and confident when they choose to trust Redemption Kids with the care of their children. Lead and oversee the iKids Influencer Program, where children and families will participate in creating content for the Redemption Kids Live and iKids curriculum. This includes working closely with the Children’s Director and Early Childhood Department Head to make sure families are being utilized to the best of their abilities for both Early Childhood and Elementary Curriculum that is being developed. You will be responsible for overseeing the communication with families as well as training and coaching children. Just because you are responsible for it does not mean you personally have to be the one doing it. You will need to use your best judgement to decide which staff and volunteers will be best to fulfil the responsibilities required to execute this program successfully and establish a system and structure that is reproducible and sustainable long term.  Lead and oversee the Redemption Kids Live experience by working closely with the Children’s Director to create and establish what this program will look like, and obtain instruction for how to effectively execute each aspect. This program is designed to create a safe space for children to build relationship with God and each other. You will be responsible for overseeing and coaching the staff and volunteers who commit to being part of this program as well as working with the appropriate cross-functional teams to create the experience. Lead and oversee an Elementary Coordinator and Leads who will assist with the above listed responsibilities and offer support in all areas of the Elementary department. Be coachable and willing to go above and beyond what is asked or required of you. Be willing to seek God and add your heart and revelation to the work you create while remaining teachable and willing to adjust to the direction or re-direction of leadership.
