Department: Facilities Management
Reports to: Facilities Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Responsible for the supervision of set up teams and drivers. Perform setup and tear down functions, and light maintenance tasks as assigned.
Supervise set up crew including giving work assignments and scheduling.
Ensure staff performs duties using established safety procedures and guidelines.
Read and interpret paperwork regarding room setups.
Ensure rooms are set up according to requested layouts.
Setup and tear down a variety of equipment including, but not limited to: chairs, tables, staging, risers, trash cans, coat racks, and table skirting.
Ensure that all trucks/vans are gassed at appropriate levels.
Report defective equipment, facility damage, areas of facility requiring cleaning and incorrect or improper setups to supervisors in a timely manner.
Restore Church areas/event rooms to a neat and orderly state following church services, events and meetings.
Manage and organize storage spaces.
Respond to any emergency housekeeping situations as they arise.
Communicate professionally with all visitors, staff and guests.
Monitor performance of staff to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Address discrepancies directly. Escalate as required.
Train staff. Participate in hiring process. Make recommendations.
Perform general security functions such as: locking and unlocking assigned buildings, securing building when accessing facilities and storage areas.
Demonstrate knowledge of and support for the mission, vision, values policies and procedures of NLC.
Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, if necessary.

High School diploma (or GED) required or equivalent work experience.
Valid Illinois driver’s license with ability to maintain insurability.
2 -3 years of experience in a maintenance or related role.
