Social Media specialist/Content Creator Red East Volunteer Coordinator and Trainer (Photography/Videography Teams)   job description Position: Social Media Specialist/Content Creator Report To: Social Media Director Classifications: Regular part-time Employee working approximately 25 hours per week; hourly Hours: Sunday through Thursday 8 am – 6 pm with some flexibility in schedule; additional hours as needed for special events and projects about redemption: Redemption Church, formerly Redemption World Outreach Center (RWOC), founded in 1991 by Pastors Hope and Ron Carpenter with a campus in San Jose CA and Greenville SC. At both of our Redemption locations you’ll experience Godly teaching, powerful worship, exciting events, and opportunities to grow in the word and serve.  job brief: Social media specialist administers Redemption East social media account. They will be responsible for creating original photographs, graphics and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. They will manage our vision in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. As a Social media manager, they will be expected to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. They should have excellent communication skills and be able to express Redemptions vision creatively. A Volunteer Coordinator will draft volunteers within growth track. Train photography and videography team members. Coordinate and schedule volunteers on a weekly basis. Ultimately, they should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and engagement. responsibilities: Adhere to policies and procedures as outlined in the REDEMPTION employee handbook. Take shared responsibility for accomplishing the vision of REDEMPTION and the Marketing Department. Strive to display professionalism and moral conduct becoming of a church environment. Work under supervision of the Social Media Director. Design and implement social media strategy to align with our vision. Collaborate with other teams to ensure brand consistency. Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications. Capture behind the scenes and social media trends for Redemption East Capture taped messages and live services, staff development, recorded teachings, (while P Hope and P Ron are in East) worship, kids, youth, etc. to represent our brands vision on social media. Schedule and coordinate post on Buffer (Social Media Scheduling App). Manually post Reels, TikTok, and IG Stories daily. Manage direct messages for Redemption East. Draft volunteers through Growth track, collect information and followup with a scheduled training. Instruct volunteers with photography and videography social media trends. Schedule volunteers for monthly life group and weekly duties through CCB (Church Community Builder) Facilitate and manage live Facebook chats (Wed & Sat) by: commenting as P Hope and P Ron and pinning comment. Blocking on the organizations behalf.
