A Video Associate sets-up and operates audio and video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires, cables, and related electronic equipment for live events, meetings, and presentations. This position requires a strong ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently under pressure, and communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing); must be professional, highly organized, detail-oriented, and innovative. - • Install, adjust, and operate electronic equipment to record, edit, and transmit video and multimedia presentations.• Diagnose and resolve media system problems.• Switch sources of video input from one camera to another.• Mix and regulate sound inputs and feeds, and coordinate audio feeds.• Compress, digitize, duplicate, and store audio and video data.• Perform minor repairs and routine cleaning of audio and video equipment.• Notify supervisors when major equipment repairs are needed.• Design layouts of audio and video equipment and perform upgrades and maintenance.• Conduct training sessions on selection, use, and design of audiovisual materials and on operation of presentation equipment.• Monitor incoming and outgoing pictures and sound feeds to ensure quality, and notify directors of any possible problems.• Build and develop constructive /cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.• Keep up-to-date with new camera and editing technology and equipment.• Represent Harvest in a professional and positive manner to external sources.• Physical Requirements, with or without accommodation: prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, and looking at computer screens.• Duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change at any time.
