We are seeking a Godly, energetic Student Pastor with a heart for Next Gen ministry – someone who can relate well to youth and effectively lead a strong team of adult leaders in student ministry. Ephesus Baptist Church is located in the Douglasville/Villa Rica area of west metro Atlanta. Our mission is helping people come together to live out the love of Jesus. We seek to be RIVERS– not reservoirs – of His love to the world around us. Our pre-Covid Sunday morning attendance averaged 550. Scripturally grounded and able to teach effectively in a youth setting.
enthusiastic about reaching new students with the gospel while helping all students to grow in discipleship and ministry involvement.
able to lead, develop, involve, and multiply adult leaders in student ministry.
able to organize and administrate events, summer camps, DNOW, international and domestic mission trips, etc. for large groups of students.
intent on ministering to families of students as well as to the students themselves.
committed to the overall ministry and vision of the church as a part of the pastoral staff team.
creative, teachable, and always exploring new methods of outreach and ministry.
a college graduate with a seminary degree completed or in progress.
in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Our previous Student Pastor left recently after eight years of successful ministry here to serve as a campus pastor for a multi-site church in another state. He was directly responsible for the student ministry (7th-12th grade) with the help of a student associate, a student ministry assistant, and student intern. He had also begun overseeing the staff preschool and children’s ministry directors (as well as volunteer college ministry leaders) so that we could offer an effective and integrated ministry to families. We would like to find someone who has the ability and experience to help us continue in this direction. The salary for this full-time position will range from $50,000’s to the high $60,000’s depending on experience, education, and expertise.
