Purpose: First Baptist Church exists to proclaim Christ for the glory of God and the joy of all people. Our worship coordinator would promote this purpose through the means of music. He will focus on the worship of God not on entertaining the congregation. He will work to use music to encourage congregational participation not spectators.

Our Worship Coordinator will:

· Lead the congregation and worship team to use their voices and instruments to worship God consistently and effectively. He will fulfill the role of lead worshiper in all regularly scheduled worship services.

· Coordinate the worship ministry with the Senior Pastor.

· Prepare PowerPoint point slides for the worship service.

· Be available to practice with worship team on Sunday mornings.

· Commit to working approximately 5 hours a week.

Our Worship Leader must:

· Profess faith in Jesus Christ and exhibit the character of a true Christian evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit.

· Be musically skilled in singing, playing at least guitar or piano for leading worship, reading music and directing musically.

· Theologically agree with and uphold the church covenant and statement of faith.

· Have a teachable, humble spirit, with a heart to serve.

Compensation:

· Salary will be $75/wk paid on a biweekly basis.
