The Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill, GA shall be a man who meets the scriptural qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7. He must have a divine call to ministry and wholeheartedly affirm the Bible as the Word of God without error and firmly support the beliefs outlined in the Baptist Faith and Message and the Articles of Faith presented in the Constitution and Bylaws of the Church. He shall seek to work with the people of this Church and through the authority of this Church, to achieve the goals and aims of the Kingdom of God with a Christ-like spirit. The Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church must be a Scripture filled and Spirit led man with the demonstrated ability to exegete God’s Word accurately, disciple people effectively, build community, and lead humbly. While formal education and experience are desired, any man demonstrating the above listed qualities may apply.

The Associate Pastor will oversee the integration process of building a community of service and discipleship. The Associate Pastor will have the primary responsibility for the strength, vitality, and growth of our Sunday School, Life Groups, and all other Discipleship Ministries. The Associate Pastor will also supervise all paid church staff. The Associate Pastor will seek to seamlessly align these primary activities with our stated mission of Glorifying God and Connecting People to Jesus. Finally, the Associate Pastor shall assist the Lead Pastor in the teaching and preaching of God’s Word and any other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
