CHURCH AND COMMUNITY DESCRIPTION:
First Baptist Church is in Woodville, Florida, an unincorporated community of 3000 people just south of Tallahassee, in the Florida Panhandle. The church was organized in April 1908 and currently has 252 members and an average attendance, post-COVID of 76. The surrounding neighborhood is comprised of many young families with children and has great potential for evangelism. The church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of “The Baptist Faith and Message” as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000 and endorses the Danvers Statement and the Nashville Statement composed and published by the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
JOB EXPECTATIONS:
Worship service is held on Sunday morning and prayer service and Bible study are conducted on Wednesday night. In addition, standard duties and ministry of a pastor are expected.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Master’s degree in theological studies from an accredited Southern Baptist Seminary is preferred.
Ability to commute/relocate before starting work.
Ability to preach the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God, who will have a heart for local and international missions and who has the desire to minister to all age groups within our community.
Submit to a criminal and financial background check before starting work.

Full-time

COMPENSATION:

Salary is negotiable depending on education, experience, and specific pastor needs. Benefits include allowances for housing, health/life insurance, retirement, and pastoral professional expenses. The total of the benefits package falls within the range of $50,000 to $55,000.
