Principle Function:
• The Pastor of Discipleship & Community will help shepherd our church toward treasuring Christ together through discipleship that is biblical, transformative, and intergenerational.

Direction & Supervision:
• The Pastor of Discipleship & Community will report to the Lead Pastor

Specific Responsibilities:
• Discipleship
• Provide oversight of Five Points Sunday school program (Children—Adults)
• Provide ongoing training opportunities for teachers
• Work with Children’s Director & Families Pastor in developing & implementing a full scope and sequence of curriculum across all age groups
• Ensure that all the weekly operations of the Sunday school program are carried out with excellence
• Lead our Men’s & Women’s Growth Groups (Wednesday nights in the Fall & Spring)
• Manage group registration and keep record of all groups
• Work with Lead Pastor in developing discussion guides based off of current sermon series
• Identify, recruit, and train new Growth Group leaders

• Assist in launching, implementing, and leading the Five Points Discipleship Collective
• Manage student enrollment / graduation for Year 1
• Teach courses in the Discipleship Collective and submit grades to Midwestern Seminary
• Launch and help lead Year 2 residencies (Pastoral, Missionary / Church Planter, & Marketplace)
• Handle all administrative details related to the Five Points Discipleship Collective
• Setup occasional workshops & seminars which will help equip Five Points members to make disciples
• Work with staff in developing and publishing a Five Points Advent Guide each Christmas season

Community:
• Take the lead in setting up periodic church-wide fellowship events
• Work with lay leaders in organizing men’s & women’s retreats
• Work with our Children’s Director & Families Pastor in hosting our Fall Family Feast, Spring Picnic, & Family Fun Nights (summer)
• Assist Lead Pastor in the onboarding process of new members
• Ensure that guest follow-up strategy is being implemented
• Oversee our hospitality team and provide on-going training (in partnership with our hospitality coordinator)
• Help host newcomers brunch and Discovering Five Points class
• Conduct membership interviews with prospective members
• Present new members and oversee quarterly New Members celebration
