Position of Pastor – Fort Green Baptist Church

Job Overview: Fort Green Baptist Church of Bowling Green, FL is seeking a pastor that will be a servant leader, with a vision and passion for people and for God’s work through the church.

Qualifications:

– The Pastor must meet the New Testament requirements for office listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.

– Must be an ordained Southern Baptist minister who preaches expositional sermons.

– He should have strong communication and leadership skills both in the pulpit and interpersonally

– A heart for personal evangelism and evangelism through community service, and the ability to inspire others to walk closer with our creator. He will testify to a clear sense of God’s call to the pastoral ministry and strong sense of God’s leadership to pastor Fort Green Baptist Church.

– Must have a passion for and strong involvement in our youth programs.

– A bachelor’s degree in seminary is preferred.

Formal Responsibilities:

– The pastor will be expected to preform weekly sermons and lead worship services.

– He will work closely with the deacons to lead and guide the church.

– He will visit hospitalized, grieving, and homebound members.

– He will Provide counseling, perform weddings and funerals as requested.

– He must adhere to the by-laws of FGBC.

– Lead/participate in choosing and securing the most suitable educational and curriculum materials available.

– Perform baptisms and officiate at the Lord’s supper.

Compensation:

– Salary $50,000 – $55,000 per year.

– Includes 3/2 pastoral, utilities (water, electric, internet, ect.)

– Reimbursement for mileage.

– Retirement 401K package

– Two weeks’ vacation
