The NextGen Pastor will have the responsibility to provide leadership & oversight for children & students by planning and executing efforts toward evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, worship, service and outreach; within the framework of our 3-E’s mission statement. This is not a position for a “solo” minister who does all the work themselves; rather someone who can recruit, train, and deploy a team of leaders.

Church Summary:

Supervise/lead Grace’s ministries to K4-5th and 6-12th grade students; ensuring these ministries line-up with the established mission, vision and strategy of the overall church.
Responsible to plan, supervise and implement all programming (spiritual & relational) for elementary and teenage students (This includes: Connect Groups, Sun. AM, Wed. PM, frequent youth activities, campus ministries, evangelistic outreaches, conferences, camps, missions trips, service projects, etc.
Recruit, train & motivate ministry volunteers for grades K4-5th and 6-12th.
Directly lead the 6-12th grade student ministry with a goal of numerical and spiritual growth in students from both HCA and other local schools.
Lead First Priority & Game Day ministries of Grace, including all planning, volunteer recruiting, training & execution of these programs in 2 public schools.
Engage with students by attending ball games, student events, and starting new group times to expand & grow the ministry.
Develop and oversee the annual budget for the children and teen ministries.

School Chaplain Summary:

Serve as the HCA 6-12th grade chapel coordinator for both weekly and special emphasis chapels. (This includes recruiting and scheduling speakers, weekly programming, etc.).
Work with the High School Principal to plan and execute one annual HCA Spiritual Emphasis Week each fall for 6-12th grade students.
Provide and/or coordinate spiritual counseling for 6-12th HCA students/families as requested by the Head of School. This includes crisis response counseling, if needed.
