The Student Ministry Director will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordinating, and implementation of student ministry (6th – 12th grades) for Grace Life. This includes outreach to students in the community as well as in-reach to existing students leading each student into a relationship with Jesus. We envision the Grace Life Student Ministry to be a growing student community of Bible preaching, relationship building, memory making, and evangelistic engagement, while building partnerships between church, home, and the community. Gain ministry experience in a multi-ethnic ministry while being mentored in a growing local church. Additionally, the student minister will give oversight to our Student Sunday School, in time, this may include Kidz Church.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

Vision & Leadership

Provide leadership to our Student Ministry through Bible preaching and discipling.
Oversee communication (i.e monthly preaching schedule, trimester activity calendar, social media, etc), making sure that opportunities for community and growth are clear to students, volunteers & parents.

Ministry Environments

Oversee, plan, and coordinate the weekly Student Ministry programming for Middle School & High School, as well as the occasional monthly activity/annual events (e.g. summer camp, retreats, and activities).
Ensure that safety and security procedures are followed in the Student Ministry.
Work under the leadership of the Lead Pastor, seeking the advice/counsel of our elders while cultivating and incorporating volunteers.

Spiritual Formation

Meet regularly with students for discipleship and encouragement
Equip parents in the spiritual development of their students through helpful resources.
Develop strategies to welcome and support new families to the Student Ministry by partnering with guests, existing attendees and members.

Education & Experience: pursuing a degree in a ministry related field

Compensation: This is a part-time paid position for 20 hrs/week. ($18/hr – $20/hr)
