Grand Community Baptist Church is a Bible Believing, Bible Preaching, Traditional Baptist Church for Active Seniors.

The Church is located in Beautiful Sun City Grand, a Del Webb community in Surprise, Arizona. We are a senior adult Church located in a retirement community with approximately 10,000 homes. Because we are located in the Sonoran Desert we have a number of members who are here for 6 months out of the year. At present our attendance is approximately 125-175 in worship service. Approximately 40-60 less during the summer months. The average age of our congregation is 74 years young.

Grand Community Baptist Church began in May, 1998 as God’s people came together for the purpose of worship and ministry in Sun City Grand. We are a community of faith serving one another, our community, and our world in cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

1 Timothy 3:1-7; John 21:15-17 and 1 Peter 5:1-3

• Spiritual integrity and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Subscribe to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000

• Seeks a ministry in a Senior Adult SBC Church.

• Substantive Bible teaching and preaching through biblical exposition, the teaching of sound doctrine and practical application.

• Shepherding of Senior Adult congregants through pastoral care, visitation, and fostering of significant age appropriate fellowship and ministry opportunities.

• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills to interact with the congregation, office staff, committees, and leadership teams.

• Ordained Southern Baptist Minister with a Master level or higher degree. Minimum10 years pastoral experience.
