Lovedale Baptist Church is seeking a Music Director. The Music Director will oversee the church choir and work with the Pastor to develop Spirit filled worship services. The Music Director will also develop special choir ensembles for special services such as Easter and Christmas. Lovedale Baptist Church has a rich history of music and specials featuring the church choir. Leading the Sunday morning and evening worship service is required and the prospective candidate would be willing to encourage members of the congregation to participate in the music ministry. Lovedale uses a blended worship, but mostly leans traditional with some contemporary.

The prospective candidate will have some training in music ministry and will have some years of experience as well. It is requested that in addition to the resume, a cover letter be provided and if possible a video of the candidate leading worship. Lovedale Baptist Church desires the candidate to be willing to serve in a rural area with plenty of potential and live the church motto of “Loving God, Loving People”. The prospective candidate may be inquired about the possibility of helping grow and lead the youth ministry, but that is not a requirement.

Though located in a rural setting, Lovedale is in a prime area of growth. Marianna, FL is the nearest city with Dothan, AL being 45 minutes away, Tallahassee, FL being an hour drive, and Panama City, FL being roughly an hour and a half.
