Position: Music & Worship Associate

Status: Full-Time

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm not to exceed 40 hours. Work week includes Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings as required for weekly ministry responsibilities. Friday and Saturdays are days off.

Function: The Music & Worship Associate supports the Hunters Glen Worship Ministry and Worship Pastor through their leading of Sunday Morning worship teams and supporting the Worship Pastor in carrying out the vision and values of the worship ministry.

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Music is preferred.

Qualification:

1. A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.

2. Experience in leading worship.

3. A heart for spiritual formation for those in the congregation and in the worship ministry.

4. A commitment to team leadership and building teams.

5. A commitment to the Worship Ministry Vision and Values.

6. Strong collaborative and communication skills.

7. Experienced/trained musician; background to include performance confidence and strong, high-quality singing voice.

8. The ability to lead from an instrument is preferred.

9. Skilled in the use of technology in worship.

10. Proven leadership skills.

11. Experience managing volunteers.

12. An active member of HGBC with faithful attendance on Sunday mornings

13. Personal dress and appearance appropriate to the business and ministry of the church.

14. Ability to prioritize, organize workload, and meet deadlines.

15. A multi-tasking team player with high energy, strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude.

16. Proficiency of Planning Center Online, Ableton Live, Adobe Creative Suite, Photography and Video.

17. Music Arranging is plus, but not required.

18. A strong desire to learn and better your craft.

19. Can lead choirs, orchestra, and band.

20. Have adequate knowledge using Final Cut Pro and the ability to be creative by thinking outside the box.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead a growing Children’s Music Ministry.

2. Help with video production shooting and editing video design as it supports worship and all other HGBC ministries.

3. Work closely with the Senior Pastor and Worship Pastor in visual platform enhancement, sermon series promotion, and creative visual means to enhance worship.

4. Drive the quality/creative/spiritual standards for the content of weekend worship experiences.

5. Lead worship and media team development and activities and oversee care structure of volunteers. Create a sense of “Family.”

6. Other duties as assigned by the Worship Pastor.

Evaluation: Informally, as needed. Formally, each year.
