Description and Summary of Position:

As the Director of Youth Ministry at Memorial Baptist Church you will be responsible for growing our students’ love for God, love for people and equipping them to make disciples of Jesus. We don’t just want good teens, we want teens who are on fire for Jesus!

As the Director of Media and Technology at Memorial Baptist Church you will lead our ministry teams in media, communication and technology. You will help bring our church up to date gracefully and gently.

Responsibilities:

Youth Ministry:

-Oversee weekly gatherings for middle and high school youth, including teaching and small groups.
-Provide vision and direction for youth ministry to the church, parents and volunteers.
-Equip parents to be the primary discipler of youth.
-Lead training opportunities regularly for volunteers to be developed and equipped.
-Lead safety training for volunteers.
-Attend youth camp and mission trips.

Media and Technology Ministry:

-Oversee media and technology volunteers regarding gatherings.
-Oversee communication from ministry teams through a variety of media platforms.
-Lead training opportunities regularly for volunteers to be developed and equipped.
-Work with the ministry team and worship band to plan upgrades to facilities and Sunday services.
-Troubleshoot and problem solve as technological issues arise.

Other Responsibilities:

-Manage and oversee the budget for the youth, media and technology ministries.
-Build and invest in relationships with volunteers and church members.
-Lead and recruit committed leaders and volunteers that are excited and eager to serve, avoiding burnout.
-Functions as a member of the church staff team and attends weekly staff meetings and development opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements for Position:

-A professing believer with evidence in life.
-A member of Memorial Baptist church, or willing to become a member.
-In alignment with the BF&M 2000.
-Minimum 3 years ministry experience preferred.
-Able to recruit volunteers, invest in and support them well.
-Able to teach both middle school and high school students.
-Proficient in photography and videography.
-Proficient in a variety of Social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
-Proficient in Planning Center, ProPresenter and other church utilized programs.
-Proficient in graphic design and website design.
-Proficient in live stream and production.
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
