Monterey Baptist Church, Albuquerque, is seeking a senior Pastor who is a Bible based, Jesus-centric preacher. We are a mission minded, community centered, multigenerational, multiethnic congregation praying for the pastor to lead us to the next level of Christ centered living. Located near the Sandia Mountains of eastern Albuquerque, Monterey Baptist Church began in 1973 with 16 members and a desire to minister to the Manzano neighborhood. This area today is rich in single family dwellings as well as apartment buildings housing many families. Monterey has a wonderful facility that includes an amazing Children’s Ministry Building. The church is directly across the street from Manzano High School and near multiple elementary/mid-schools, thus providing an opportunity to meet the needs of many families. Monterey Baptist Church has established relationships with Manzano High School and also has two very active ministries at Chelwood Elementary School, the Feed the Kids Program, and the Follow the Son After School Bible Study Program. The staff and membership of Monterey Baptist remain increasingly focused on serving this diverse community for Jesus Christ.
