Mount Vernon Baptist Church of Boone, NC, situated just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and framed by the Blue Ridge Mountains, is an affiliate of the Southern Baptist Convention and a cooperative church of the North Carolina Baptist Convention. As such, MVBC adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).

Proclaiming the truth of God’s Word and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been and will continue to be the core mission of MVBC. The vision of MVBC, through the coordination of its ministries, is to be a true Acts 1:8 church, sharing Christ’s love in order to see lives changed by the Gospel.

● Cultivate an inviting, safe, and bible-centered learning environment for children
● Provide leadership and vision it takes to be a growth engine for the church
● Make the connections needed to draw families to the church with community outreach
● Develop positive relationships between children and parents
● Organize, recruit and oversee training of volunteers
