The Church Office Administrator is responsible to the Senior Pastor, in counsel with the Personnel Team, for performing administrative job duties related to the church office and in support of the ministries of the Church.

Qualifications

2 or more year’s professional experience (as administrator, office manager, church staff).
An active member in good standing of a like-minded church, in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Working days Monday – Thursday in office.

Administrative

Perform basic office duties such as telephone, receptionist, mail, weekly bulletin, calendar, prayer list, etc.
Maintain office, ministry, and janitorial supplies as needed, including, but not limited to, general office supplies, Sunday school literature, visitor supplies, etc.
Maintain all contact information for members, visitors, and regular attenders.
Keep members informed through social media, the church website, email and mail.
Assist pastors, church staff, and church members as needed.

Requirements/Expectations

Demonstrates ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks including handling incoming phone calls, incoming visitors, various vendors and other administrative tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher), Google Apps, ability to learn new programs and with general office machinery.
Proficiency in social media. Good working knowledge of the internet and computer use.
Must be able to express oneself in excellent written and spoken business English.
Excellent writing, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skill are required.
Verifiable experience in handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Ability to work within deadlines, use creative problem solving skills, and evaluate and adjust when necessary.
Honesty, integrity, and a commitment to being the hands and feet of Christ to the church and community.
