The Church Coordinator at Bluffton First United Methodist Church fulfills a vital administrative role within the local church. The primary role of the Church Coordinator is to maintain smooth daily operation of the church and support the ministries of the church through collaboration with the Pastor and Leadership Team to move the church forward in a manner consistent with our mission statement.

Program Duties

Schedule. The Church Coordinator is expected to work 30 hours per week; this potentially might include no more than 10 hours of work done at home provided the incumbent has the means to reliably and effectively work at home. Work from home time may begin following a period of 3 months working strictly in the office and with the approval of the Pastor and Staff Parish Relations Committee. 20 hours must be conducted at the church office within normal business hours. The Coordinator will work with the Pastor to develop a consistent weekly schedule.

50 hours of paid time off is included with this position. Any personal or sick time taken beyond those hours will be regarded as unpaid time. All vacation or sick time will be communicated with the Pastor. The Coordinator must prepare work in advance to ensure smooth functioning of the church during time off.
