Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, of Lancaster South Carolina, is seeking a fulltime Minister of Youth and College Students. This position’s primary role will be to develop a plan for the discipleship of these students and carry out the plan with excellence. He will also coordinate special events, trips, campus ministry, counseling, and visitation for the students in this ministry area. We are looking for a pastor who is passionately seeking the Lord Jesus Christ on a daily basis—someone who can lead and love our students and families out of the overflow of his own walk with God and knowledge of the scriptures. We would love to partner with someone who is dedicated to raising up a generation of students to seek the Lord, someone who desires a career in Youth Ministry unless the Lord calls him to other work. PDBC is a very stable Southern Baptist congregation with over 75 years of history. We desire to reach our community with the gospel through lifestyle and two annual outreaches that affect more than 3500 individuals. Dr. Jesse Adams has led our congregation as senior pastor for 10 years and was our youth pastor for 10 years previously. We will be moving into our new 800 seat worship center this fall. Our youth ministry is currently averaging 30 students and is led by a team of 13 dedicated volunteers. Our current college ministry is mainly a Sunday School class and a few evening events throughout the year. Lord willing, we hope to fill this position by as soon as possible.
