Youth and Children’s Pastor

Thomas Memorial Baptist Church (TMBC) Quincy, Florida

TMBC seeks a dynamic individual to serve who has a heart for God and seeing the gospel presented to our community. Quincy is located 21 miles from Tallahassee and has a diverse county population of 44,000. The position will work with our Pastor and established youth and children’s teams composed of dedicated members in the planning and development of activities that honor Jesus Christ. Our delineation of age is sixth grade for youth to high school senior. Our children are age 5 – fifth grade.

Qualifications:

· Candidate must have a strong Christian testimony, a record of attendance and involvement in a local church and a strong calling and vision to minister to the young.

· Ordained Minister – Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Theology or Ministry or within one year of completion.

· Minimum two years-experience working in children’s or youth ministry.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

· We would require that you live in or close to our community and be an active member of TMBC.

· Work closely with the Pastor, ministry staff, and teams to integrate our children and youth in worship, helping to develop a cohesive church family.

· Teach youth Sunday Bible Fellowship class prior to worship service.

· Involvement and participation in Children’s Church during Sunday Worship hour.

· Organize and plan Wednesday night youth night services with TMBC youth team.

· Organize and plan Wednesday night Children activities with the TMBC Children’s Team.

· Organize and lead the TMBC Awana program.

· Work closely with the TMBC Children’s team organizing, developing and discipling the age group through planning, scheduling, and participating in Christ centered activities.

· Organize summer Vacation Bible School.

· Plan, organize, and attend a minimum of two youth and one children camps or trips.

· Attend weekly staff meetings, working sessions with the Pastor, team meetings and update church calendar with children and youth activities.

· Support youth and children in their school setting and extracurricular activities.

· Provide prayer, counseling, and mentorship for children, youth and families.
