Job Description: Minister of Worship and Media

Reports to: Senior Pastor

Supervises: Supervises all staff and volunteers in the areas of worship and media.

Position Summary: The Minister of Worship and Media assists the Senior Pastor in accomplishing Trees Baptist Church’s mission and vision as it relates to worship and media. The Minister of Worship and Media’s primary goal is to make passionately devoted followers of Jesus Christ through worship. Additionally, they are responsible for developing and evaluating all aspects of media that could be used to communicate Trees Baptist Church’s mission and vision.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Worship

1.    Develop an annual worship ministry plan outlining the goals, programs and activities for the year in alignment with TBC’s mission and vision.
2.    Must be able to do blended worship. (Hymns and Choruses)
3.    Work with the Senior Pastor in planning and conducting all worship services.
4.    Present to the Finance Committee an annual worship budget after review with the Senior Pastor.
5.    Keep abreast of current church music and worship trends through continuing education and individual study.
6.    Coordinate musical needs for weddings, funerals, and other special events as requested.
7.    Respond to requests from music groups and individuals from outside the church.
8.    Responsible for working with the Worship Team and staff to develop new music and worship ministries.
9.    Perform other duties as needed, or assigned by the Senior Pastor.

Media

1.    Oversee the maintenance of the church website.
2.    Work with Senior Pastor and other staff in developing video production to be used as sermon illustrations and worship enhancement.
3.    Work with video production team in developing and producing quality video products to be used in promotional as well as worship venues.

Ministry

1.    Participate in the staff visitation program under the leadership and coordination of the Senior Pastor.
2.    Shepherd and disciple members involved in worship, music, and media ministry.
3.    Minister to the members and attendees of Trees Baptist Church.
4.    Equip the entire Trees Baptist church family for ministry to the Trees community and beyond.
5.    Perform other duties as needed, or assigned by the Senior Pastor.

Qualifications

•       Bachelors or Masters Degree in a relevant area, such as: Worship Arts, Music, Business, Christian Leadership, Media, Graphic Design is preferred but not required.
•       A demonstrated call to ministry.
•       Ability to lead blended music ensembles, choirs and perform musically in blended style vocally and/or instrumentally (preferably both). [Instrumental or keyboard experience preferred but not required].
•       A working understanding of the latest trends in creative arts and graphic design.
•       An interest in the latest trends in mass media communications.
