Position: Campus Pastor

Summary

Seeking a candidate who can serve bi-vocationally as the pastor of University Church, a church focused on the demographic and needs of college students that meets on the campus of the University of Central Florida (UCF), operating under the umbrella of the University Baptist Church, a local church reaching the communities around UCF.

Roles & Responsibilities

Minister to spiritual needs of church members and attendees, particularly focused on college students
Equip the church body to minister to people in all circles of life
Prepare weekly sermons

Required Qualifications

Aligned theologically with Baptist Faith and Message
Bi-Vocational
Four-year college degree obtained
Married
Ability to connect, relate, and understand college age and experience
Passion for college students
Availability Sunday, and Wednesday evenings or at least one other weeknight evening
Time available to commit for Sundays as well as events, summer Sundays, and winter breaks
Flexible for scheduling of services, and events
Partnership with UBC
Willing to meet with students in person one on one or in group for discipleship – flexibility to do so

Preferred Qualifications

Seminary completed or in progress
Available for outreach to campus ministries and campus events
