West Baptist Church is in the westside of Batesville, AR, the oldest city in Arkansas. West Baptist was established in 1909 as a church plant and has been sustained these 111 years by the grace and love of God and the diligent work of the fellowship of believers. Our Senior Pastor has been here 8 years and the church has reached a state of stability and maturity that has enabled us to endure our ever-changing cultural situations.
There is much ministry opportunity in Batesville with all ages and socio-economic backgrounds. We are multigenerational and desire to have a theologically rich worship in a way in which Christ is honored and God is glorified.
Qualifications
·      Meets Biblical Qualifications for Pastors
·      Proficient in leading congregational worship
·      Able to lead and develop a Worship Team
·      Able to articulate and teach a biblical theology of worship
·      Able to preach and lead students
·      Must be in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)
Summary of Duties for Worship Ministry
·      Planning worship service in consultation with pastor/elders.
·      Leading music portion of the Sunday worship service
·      Leading music for special events as needed.
·      Leading rehearsals.
·      Provide for the pastoral care of the worship and A/V teams
·      Work with AV team in recommending the purchase, repair and replacement of AV equipment.
·      Attend Weekly Staff Mtgs
·      Worship Pastor will be directly accountable to the Senior Pastor and Elders

Summary of Duties for Student Ministry
·      Primary Preacher/Teacher for Student Ministry
·      Equipping Adults to Disciple Students
·      Coordinate Student Events with Student Ministry workers
·      Resourcing and Equipping Parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their students
·      Oversee Educational plan for students
·      Providing Pastoral Care for Students and Families

The Ideal Candidate will Demonstrate:
·      3+ years of experience
·      Competent musicianship
·      Familiarity with both contemporary and traditional worship
·      A clear testimony of Christian conversion and transformation.
·      Spiritual and emotional maturity.
·      A passion for leading God’s people in corporate worship
·      An ability to choose theologically-rich worship songs and hymns that complement the week’s sermon
·      An ability to enlist, train, and encourage volunteers
·      Good organizational skills
·      Strong moral and ethical character
·      Agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
·      A commitment to support the vision and mission of West Baptist Church
·      Familiar with Apple products, Pro-Presenter, Planning Center and general AV equipment.
·      Must be willing to work as part of a team.
·      Flexible, unoffendable, and drama free
·      Licensed and ordained as a pastor preferred but not required.
·      Seminary graduate preferred but not required
·      Background check
